I've been feeling the itch lately to take a big trip this year. I'll be going to Mexico in June, but that is more of a beachy (parentally-funded) relaxing trip and I'm looking for something a little different. I've been doing some research and I am seriously considering Morocco. I'm a little concerned about the danger aspect and I would hopefully find someone to go with me, as it's not the best place for a woman to travel alone (though it can be done), but I'm definitely thinking about trying to plan a trip for early Fall.
Anyone been there or know anyone who has gone?? Am I crazy for wanting to go there? If so, any other suggestions for places to go? I've already done England, Aruba, Canada, Mexico, am going to France and possibly Italy next year and I was looking for a trip more....rugged? I'm not sure what the right word is....less...modern maybe? Just somewhere totally different from anything I've seen before.

my cousin is there in the peace corps. it seemed like there was quite a bit of culture shock for her. that seems like a place that would be better to do with someone.
